NOW TRENDING: PEEK-A-BOO BRAIDS + MY BLOG OF THE WEEK TV FEATURE

The braid train just keeps on rolling--- and these latest two celebs are rocking a fun take on the braid, by adding an element of surprise. This peek-a-boo type braid is unexpected and fun, it adds a punch of punk to the red carpet look, and you can easily incorporate this trend for your next summer event.

Jennifer Aniston kept her hair down in her signature style, but added a chic dutch braid over one ear. From a distance this can give the same effect as the shaved-side look that some edgier stars have worn lately. But at the end of the evening you can remove the braid and be back to your normal self.

I wore a similar look a few months back, so it's good to see the celebs are catching up to me :) If you follow me in instagram, you may have already seen this pic. I wore three smaller braids, but I really like the single that Jen is sporting, so I think I'll try that next time.

Jaime King added a hidden braid to her beautiful updo last week on the red carpet. I love the subtle texture it gives the whole look, and the 'wow factor' she gets when she is turned to the side. Her hair is quite short as well, so you can use the braid on a variety of styles and lengths with success.

I hope you guys will give this trend a try and let me know about it. Summer is the perfect time to try unexpected styles and experiment with braids you may have never worn.

Stay tuned for another amazing giveaway tomorrow and be sure you are following via email (use the entry form on the side bar) or facebook so you don't miss out on any fun!

Anyway, check it out here, and thanks so much to YOU my fabulous readers for helping me to grow this blog!
