Urban Decay Eyeliner Review
From Top: Chaos  |  Deep End  |  Roach(top) Loaded(bottom)  |  Vice

As much as I wish Spring were here, I have to be realistic in knowing that Winter hasn't given us her best just yet this year. So I've decided to pretend it's Spring with these fun Jewel Toned Eyeliner looks over the last couple of weeks. I captured four of those looks for you to see, and I hope that at least one of them will spark a little desire in you to give colorful liners a try.

I've long been a fan of purple eyeliner (which I spoke about last week on Studio5, you can see that here) But lately I have been loving shades of blue and green as well. It is such an easy way to change up your look, without having to make major adjustments to your routine. Just swap out your basic blacks and browns and play up the color in your eyes or the color of your outfit.

These liners are all from Urban Decay- I got their 24/7 Glide On Pencil kit for Christmas, and it has been a total home run! I seriously love every color in the collection, and the consistency is spot on, with great staying power. The jewel tones are dark enough that you still get enough lash enhancement, and there are also great shades of brown and black available as well.

I suggest you play around with the application- sometimes I ring the whole eye in color, while other times I only choose to line either the upper or lower. You can also use your traditional colors on one lash line, and use the pop of color on the other. Another fun idea is to play with complimentary lipsticks that are opposite of each other on the color wheel- like blue liner paired with orangey lips. Or purple liner with red lips, and the ultimate WOW statement... green liner with purple lips!

Give it a try, I know you'll be feeling that Spring weather soon enough if you do! You can shop these liners below, and as always- thanks so much for stopping by.
