Chinese Skin Care Products, The Best Chinese Skin Care Products available in the US

The beauty world has been buzzing lately with the influx of Asian skincare products making their mark in the States like never before. Subscription boxes, specialty shops and online boutiques that carry only products imported from Asia, and those made here in the US that specialize in the use of traditional Asian ingredients and recipes- are popping up like hotcakes!

I have been keeping an eye out and testing a fair share of these brands, boxes, and gizmos- in search for the best to bring to you, my fellow Snoopettes. And today, I am thrilled to bring you a look at a brand that's not only right on trend, but also laced with tradition dating back thousands of years using traditional Chinese medicine in their skincare products.

Mei Yin had me at 'Hello' really... Their simple clean packaging speaks to their philosophy of pure ingredients and pure practices as well. And with just one sniff of their elixirs, you'll know you've found skin care gold. The cool thing about Mei Yin is that they take a holistic approach to skin care, by using herbs, flowers and plants for their healing properties and medicinal effects. Everything is plant based, never tested on animals, and completely natural- which can be truthfully very hard to find in the world of beauty.

Currently I am using the Bai Shao Yao Cleansing Milk which has a light cream texture to it and works really well with my dry, yet acne prone skin. It is an oatmeal milk cleanser which I love, and it leaves the skin squeaky clean without any residue or film left on it.

Next I use the Chen Pi Daily Tonic which is my favorite from the line- it is made with green tea and Chinese herbs so it is light an refreshing with a slight tingle on the skin. I love the botanical scent on this toner which really adds to a spa like experience when you use it. [Those who love the scent of Aveda hair products- will go nuts for this tonic as well... they are meant to be friends!]

Finally I finish up with the Sha Shen Hydrating Moisturizer. It's perfect for these colder months because it has a rich, yet airy consistency and is a wonderful sleeping mask. I love the way it feels under my eyes especially, and the peony scent is heavenly. I would also recommend this as a great neck and decollate moisturizer because a little goes a long way and the ingredients are great for plumping and firming skin.

Be sure you check out Mei Yin if you are in the market for some pure skin care, and if the Eastern philosophy of wellness speaks to you the way it does to me. You can also get 20% off of your order with the code: 'beautysnoop20' Tried any Chinese herb based skincare? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to hear about it.
