NEW HAIR FOR FALL // COOL BLUNT LOB

Well another season has come and gone, and that means it is time for new hair!

While my Summer blonde was fun, I was excited to go back darker for the cold months, and to shorten up my locks.

Lately I have been loving the BLUNT LOB cut, it just spoke to me this season- and I knew that was the look I was going to try for. I also wanted to bring my hair into an ashy tone, instead of the golden hue I had been wearing through the Summer.

Take a look at the video below, to get a behind the scenes look at the process I took to create this look. Let me know in the comments if you like it, and if you have any fun changes planned for your Autumn hair.

IN THE MOOD FOR A NEW COLOR AND CUT? // HERE'S A LITTLE INSIRATION

This season for my cut and color, I wanted to warm up and lighten up! Bringing copper into the color was my first thought, but I also wanted to bring out some true blonde through the ends as well. Next a shortened up my extensions for a full thick look but, one that would be a little cooler to wear, unlike the longer extensions I had been wearing through winter. I also shortened my fringe pieces just slightly so that I can wear them across the forehead in a side sweep, or split down the middle for a curtain style bang.

Take a look at the process in the

video

below to

Heyo! It's time for another episode of

Stylewise

, and this time I'm switching things up in the length department! I wanted to throw in some

tape-in extensions

while the weather was still cool because they act like your own personal space heater for your head, and I want nothing to do with them once the temps outside reach 60 degrees or higher. I also opted to

add a 'Sombre' effect to my extensions

,

aka Subtle-Ombre

if you haven't heard of that made-up word floating around the beauty world...

MY SUMMER HAIR REVEAL AND RECIPE FOR SHINY LOCKS

Heyo! It's time for another look reveal- and this season I decided to warm things up and add a face framing POP of copper! You may remember a few weeks back when I

posted

about the celebrity trend I'm calling 'frame-lights'? Well I jumped on the bandwagon too (at home in my bathroom as usual).

PLUS, I answered a question that I get asked so often both here on the blogosphere and at the salon...

'how do I get SHINY hair?'

Well peeps, the answer is... YOU FAKE IT! No but really, most of us aren't blessed with tresses that shimmer in the light, so I've deemed my process for shiny locks:

The Styling Book End

. Get the full scoop in the

MY SPRING LOOK REVEAL! DUN, DUN, DUN...

If you follow me on

instagram

, you got a sneak peek of this look last night... but the real exciting part is HOW this look came to be. I mentioned a few weeks back that I was itching for a hair change, and sure enough the bug finally bit me!

What you may not know (or maybe you do?) is that I cut and color my own hair

. Why? Because I'm too dang busy to sit down at the salon- that's why! Ha, no really- it is just a matter of prioritizing my time, and I choose to support my staff and business while I am at the salon rather than get my own locks done. Although, I totally miss the me-time and have my hair shampooed by someone else!

To see how I made the switch you'll have to head over to this weeks

Allure Magazine Beauty Challenge

and watch the fun video. And don't forget to vote while your there- and everyday this week to keep me in the race. (to be honest, I am just barely scraping by each week, so I need extra votes and social shares. Add the hashtag #teambeautysnoop so I can find you and give you big virtual hugs for your help!)

What look are you going to try this Spring! Let me know in the comments below, and if you need some suggestions send me an email with a pic and I'll help you find the right look.
